Lesson 5 of 5
Building a weekly routine
Consistency comes from a routine small enough to keep on a busy week. Aim for one planned service post a week; anything extra is a bonus.
Plan on a quiet day
Choose a regular low-pressure moment — a slower morning, or after your last client one day a week — to look at your bookings and pick which service to film.
Film during the appointment, write later
On the day, focus on your client and your three shots. Write the caption afterwards from your outline, when you are not watching the clock.
Reuse your outline
Your posting outline is a template. Each week, change the service, the person, the detail and the shots. The structure stays the same, so the writing gets faster.
Exercise: plan your next week
Write the day you will plan, the appointment you will film and the day you will post. Keep it realistic for your current schedule.
Practice example: plan on Monday, film Thursday's colour appointment, write and post on Friday afternoon.
